About the ethical yarns used in this piece:
These silk worms are found in wild forests eating off leaves of the trees.
Wild silk is a way of gathering the silk fibres without any disturbance or harm made to the silk worm. The silk is harvested after the moth has left its cocoon and is no longer in need of it.
Organic nettle fibres used in this piece are naturally grown & harvested in Napal.
All yarns are ethically sourced & chosen with care. Handspun in rural India supporting a small women’s cooperative.
